With over 20 years' experience in welding and steel fabrication, we design, make and fit made-to-measure steel gates and railings for homes across Norwich and Norfolk. Every gate is measured at your property, built by hand in our Rackheath workshop and fitted by our own team, so you get a strong, secure finish that fits your opening exactly.

We specialise in manual steel gates and railings. Choose a classic black powder coat, or add galvanising underneath for extra long-lasting protection.

Delivery and fitting: FREE within 10 miles of our Rackheath workshop. Beyond that, it's £1 per mile beyond 10 miles. We fit anywhere in Norfolk, but we don't fit outside Norfolk. Supply-only orders can be couriered anywhere in the UK, priced on your quote.

How it works

1. Free measure-up anywhere in Norfolk. We visit your home, measure the opening, talk through styles and finishes, and check posts, ground and fixings.

2. Clear written quote. You'll get a fixed, itemised quote, supplied and fitted, with no hidden extras.

3. 50% deposit on order. Once you're happy, a 50% deposit books your job in and lets us order the steel.

4. Made in our Rackheath workshop. We fabricate your gates or railings in our own workshop on Bunkell Road, then powder coat (and galvanise if chosen).

5. Fitted by our team. We install everything ourselves, usually around 4 weeks from order, and the balance is due on fitting. Delivery and fitting are FREE within 10 miles of Rackheath, then £1 per mile beyond 10 miles (fitting in Norfolk only). Choosing supply only? The balance is due on collection or before courier dispatch.

How long does it take?

Our lead time is 4 weeks from order to fitting. We'll confirm your fitting date (or collection date for supply only) when you place your order.

Do I need to measure up myself?

No. We come out and measure for free anywhere in Norfolk, so everything is made to fit your opening exactly. If you'd like a rough price first, send us a photo and an approximate width and height and we'll give you a guide figure.

What's included in the price?

Our prices include the steel gate or railings, posts, hinges, latch or drop bolt, black powder coat (or galvanising plus powder coat), and fitting by our team (FREE within 10 miles of Rackheath, then £1 per mile beyond 10 miles; we fit in Norfolk only). Supply-only orders include posts and black powder coat but not fitting, and can be collected or couriered UK-wide at a quoted price. Packing materials are quoted on every order, including local deliveries and fitted jobs. Groundworks beyond standard post fixing, removal of old gates, or brickwork repairs are quoted separately if needed. We don't supply electric or automated gates.

How do I look after my gates?

Very little maintenance is needed. Give them a wash with warm soapy water a couple of times a year, and put a drop of oil on the hinges and latch. If the coating gets chipped, touch it up promptly to keep moisture out. For the longest life, especially near the coast, we recommend our galvanised and powder coated finish.
