We design and fabricate bespoke steel gates, railings, balustrades and staircases in our workshop in Rackheath, for homeowners, builders and businesses across Norwich and Norfolk. With 20 years' experience in fabrication and welding, we build each piece to suit your space, not an off-the-shelf size.

Made-to-measure steel gates

From simple garden and side gates to larger driveway and commercial gates, we make them to fit your opening. Choose a style that suits your property, whether plain and modern, traditional with bars and finials, or something more decorative. We can also make matching fence panels and posts. Please note we don't make electric or automated gates.

Railings and balustrades

Steel railings add safety and finish to steps, ramps, balconies, mezzanines and boundary walls. We make handrails, balustrades and boundary railings to measure, in designs ranging from clean, contemporary lines to classic styles. Where railings are needed for safety, we'll work to the heights and spacings your project requires, and we're happy to work to an architect's or designer's drawings.

Steel staircases

We fabricate steel staircases for homes, commercial buildings and industrial sites. That includes straight flights, external fire escape style stairs, access stairs to mezzanines and platforms, and feature staircases for homes. Treads can be steel chequer plate, open grid or prepared for timber or other finishes. For staircases in buildings, your design will need to meet Building Regulations, so we'll work with your architect, engineer or Building Control as needed.

Finishes that suit the job

We can finish your steelwork in primer, paint, powder coating or galvanising, depending on where it's going and the look you want. Outdoor gates and railings need good protection against the Norfolk weather, so we'll recommend a suitable finish.

How we work

1. Tell us what you need, with photos, rough sizes or drawings if you have them.
2. We carry out a site survey where needed to measure up and talk through design options.
3. We fabricate in our Rackheath workshop.
4. We install your new steelwork, or supply it ready for your builder to fit.
